Enhance student accessibility and support in an educational setting near Lavaca, AR, by providing one-on-one interpreting services for a middle school student. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Sign Language Interpreter seeking a meaningful role where every day brings new ways to make an impact.

You’ll be responsible for supporting a student’s learning in the classroom and throughout the school environment. Working closely with educational staff, you’ll play a vital role in helping bridge communication and foster inclusion.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid State Interpreter License (ASL required; MSL highly desirable)
• Bilingual proficiency (ASL and Spanish) strongly preferred
• Credentialed and experienced with school-aged children, especially in a one-to-one role
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Enthusiastic about collaborating with educators and other school personnel

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for a middle school student, ensuring access across all educational activities
• Serve as a support person across various classroom subjects and school settings
• Adjust interpreting methods to best meet student and teacher needs
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment to enhance student learning and participation
• Maintain integrity, accuracy, and professionalism in all interpretations

Details:

• Full-time contract; approximately 37.5 hours per week
• Assignment runs ASAP through late May
• Onsite work is required
