Apply Today!?Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.Morenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. (This posting represents multiple vacancies in a variety of fixed operational department areas.)Level 4 – Processing Diagnostic MechanicHighly skilled mechanic who safely performs components of diagnostic, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of fixed plant operational equipment and related systems.Perform system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems, pump, pit dewatering, hydraulic systems, etc.Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, seals for leakage, oil levels and lubrication systemsPerform the removal, repair and installation of piping and pump components, such as: valves, expansion joints and check valves.Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as neededResponsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspectionsTrain and mentor other employeesPerform advanced welding and fabricationMay operate mobile equipment such as: Forklifts, cranes, and boom trucksPerform as a Fill-in Supervisor as requiredPerform other duties as requiredLevel 3: Processing Repair EmployeeSkilled Mechanic who, under supervision, safely performs diagnostic, maintenance, installation and repair of fixed plant operational equipment and related systems.Assists with and performs component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying, pump, pit, dewatering, hydraulic systems, etc.Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, seals for leakage, oil levels and lubrication systemsPerform the removal, repair and installation of piping/pump components, such as: valves, expansion joints and check valves.Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspectionsMay perform welding and fabricationMay operate mobile equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and boom trucksPerforms housekeeping dutiesPerforms other duties as requiredThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.00 – $39.00/hour.
