Job Description:
The College of Dentistry Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure track Research Assistant Scientist. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching research patient care and service.
The Caudle lab is looking for a Research Assistant Scientist interested in conducting research on the neurobiology of pain. The ideal candidate has experience in whole cell voltage clamp techniques transcriptomics single neuron transcriptomics and in running rodent behavioral assays. Experience with immunohistochemistry is also desirable.
Minimum requirements include Ph.D. (or an equivalent degree) in neurobiology cell biology or in any related field. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in the neurobiology of pain and have at least five years of experience in the field.
